Chain Transfer
Mecatriel chain transfer is built to move charges laterally on a conveyor.
The chain transfer can be integrated into a roller conveyor. To do so, each chain of #60-3 replaces a roller in the conveyor. Pneumatic actuators control the height of the chains. When in the upper position, the chains move the load perpendicularly to the conveyor. When in the lower position, the rollers move the load on the axis of the conveyor. A 1 HP motor is used to move the load.
In comparison with the pusher, the chain transfer has the advantage of working two-ways: it can either receive a load from another conveyor or transfer the load to another conveyor. Furthermore, in opposition to the pusher that has to go back to its original position after pushing each load, the chain transfer works more efficiently. The chain transfer can also be used in tandem for long loads.
